About the role:
Our department are looking for someone who is able to teach music and musicianship in ensemble settings and to contribute to the growth and development of Music School under the direction of the Music School Manager and the Music Service Manager.
You will be expected to teach music skills through ensemble work, as agreed with the Music School Manager and Music Service Manager, and guide each pupil to develop to the full their musical skills and technical proficiency.
About you:
We are looking for someone who is able to conduct and direct a range of ensembles, both brass and mixed instrument bands and orchestras as well as the ability to organise time within agreed boundaries.
You’ll have the opportunity to develop on your existing skills by conducting and directing a range of ensembles, both brass and mixed instrument bands and orchestras.
We do ask that you have a relevant professional qualification or evidence of successful teaching of music.
Applicants for this role will need to be able to demonstrate knowledge of instrumental technique and repertoire as well as willing to work outside Music school hours, possibly once per term, subject to negotiation with the Head of Music School.
